Stayed in the superior double. Great size room with loads of character. There was clearly some damp problems, with plaster flaking off the wall in several places, neverthleess we felt we could live with this due to the age of the property. What was slightly disappointing was the mattress and pillows. When lying on the mattress you could feel the springs and the pillows were all lumpy and in desperate need of replacing. Breakfast was superb.

Really lovely old inn. Our room was in the annexe and was comfortable clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent

Would I stay here again? No. The room we stayed in was not very clean and certainly in need of updating. It is a busy road with single pain windows and the double rooms are very small and tired. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the pub is okay. We ate in the restaurant, the food was okay however the portion sizes are small, as was the size of the English breakfast. The portion size was expensive for the price, I had a burger, with a teaspoon of coleslaw and around a dozen french fries. If it wasn’t for the friendly staff I would rate it less.
