This property is perfectly situated for exploring Yellowstone, which is why we chose it, and why we would stay there again. As of our trip, the property could certainly use an update. The quaintness does add somewhat to the overall charm, but room amenities could be upgraded (larger shower would be very much appreciated, as would a microwave in the rooms since the two restaurants were only so-so). But being able to be at West Thumb to watch the sun rise in only 7 minutes from our room was fantastic, and we loved getting a jump on the other attractions without having to slog through the incoming park traffic.

Limited healthy dining options. Dinner Menu did not change for the 4 nights we stayed there. Our room wasn’t ready until 5:30pm because they were short staffed. Location was great with good access to the Canyon village and Old Faithful.
