Basic but comfortable accommodation. Very good location. Car parking a bit tricky but, if you arrive just after 5pm and leave by 9am the following morning it is possible to park on the road without incurring a ticket. The room was clean and the bed was fine - I got a good night’s sleep - tea and coffee in the room, tv with very poor signal, Wi-Fi signal not bad in the room so able to watch programmes on my iPad, toilet seat not connected to the hinges but it was clean and usable, perfectly good shower. Excellent breakfast. Overall good value.

Our room was basic with an en-suite and the bed was comfortable but it was looking out onto a main road. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good, as was the Sunday Carvery. It is a popular place to stay and to have the Sunday lunch.

We booked in and 15 minutes later left. It was absolutely filthy. Both the room and communal areas were disgusting. Couldn't find anyone to complain to, so we just left. There was no way we could have stayed, the room was just dirty from the bedding to the bath.
