The Wi-Fi in my room was very poor (I was in room 6) but it was excellent in the common areas and the restaurant. Friendly staff. Quiet room. Excellent restaurant.

We were met by someone on arrival who was very helpful in carrying the case up to the bedroom (no lift). The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and there were tea/coffee-making facilities in the room as well as a small fridge. However, there were a couple of issues. The 'push-down' plug in the sink didn't click into place, the water in the shower was really hot and the tap to adjust was a little stiff and the previous guests had left food in the fridge, which had not been removed. There was no hairdryer in the room but one was available from reception. Unfortunately, the socket was next to the bed and the mirror was the other end of the room. The hotel is adjacent to an Indian restaurant (which appeared to be connected to the hotel) and the smell of cooking was evident as you walked up the stairs. Reception was not manned but there was a call button, although it took a while for anyone to appear. Our room had slanted walls on both sides which meant that being fairly tall, we had to be careful not to bump our heads as we walked round
