Loud construction sounds during the visit, starting at 9 am. Was jet lagged and trying to get some extra sleep, so did not help. The rooms are very old and a bit grim. The lobby is quite modern and a bit misleading. It turns out they are renovating (hence the noise). I would hope they can keep the noise down early in the morning. Staff were pretty helpful and overall it was fine for a last minute booking on the cheap side.

Great check in facilitated by Anson on the desk, friendly, professional and informative. City centre location and quiet room high and at the back were key bonuses. Thanks folks, will make you my choice in Edinburgh next time.

Only stayed for one night but had 0 complaints about our stay. Room was lovely and the breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety. Would absolutely stay here again.
