So many things to say about this hotel. I’ll start with the positives - it’s cheap and not bad located. Now with the negatives (I’ll list as few imas I could go on). The door knob on the bath to start and stop the water had completely come off and I found it resting on the side lol. Bits of hair found in random places e.g. towels. The check in man literally did not say a word to me during my check in - very strange. I also think there were bed bugs as I left with loads of bites all over my body :/ but worst of all after a day of exploring NYC I came back to find my room door open and left ajar. Anyone could have walked in and taken my belongings. Thankfully nothing happened but could you imagine losing a passport or a mobile, something critical for travel. I told the staff and before apologising or acknowledging the incident all I got was “it was the housekeeping staff”… OKAY?? Thanks for narrowing it down but what about the fact the door was open. I had to reiterate twice before the actual incident was acknowledged. I got a weak ass sorry. All in all I wouldn’t go back here again, but if you’re on a budget and have little choice it’s actually not that bad. My experience is my own and other’s experiences are likely to differ!

Someone needs to repair the outside stones leading into the front of the building. They are cracked, wobbly, and very unsafe. I almost stumbled on my way in and afterwards I had to be extra careful not to trip on my way out. Other than that it was a nice little place to stay overnight. The staff were very kind, the beds were comfortable, and I slept like a baby. I would def stay here again if I had to travel to the area in the future.
