Wonderful property! Rooms were large and very clean. Outdoor garden area with a pergola, chairs, pond and waterfall tucked away. Walkable to downtown. Staff was courteous and helpful.

We booked for a last-minute overnight trip. After quickly scanning the listings in Ludington, we chose Summers Inn for the promise of a “local cuisine” breakfast included in the price. We prepaid and drove the final hour to the hotel. Upon checking in, we were informed by two staff that the breakfast is not included since all summer help has left for school, they are under-staffed, etc. One manager showed me on the Expedia site some fine print in the description stating that breakfast is only available weekend, not Friday mornings, but I didn’t find that on the Hotels.com site. They told me they can’t be responsible for what resellers say on their websites. As it was by then quite late and we had prepaid we were left with little choice but to stay. Under other circumstances we would have felt the suite we were given to be acceptable, if overpriced. We could have stayed nearby for an easy savings, without the promise of breakfast, which we ended up going out for, anyway. The omission/revision really disappointed us! (Note that ALL of their print material available onsite and locally says breakfast is included, and room prices are not lower without the morning meal. Traveller beware!)

We chose this inn because of the excellent reviews of the breakfasts. At check in we were informed that due to staffing issues (students went back to school), breakfast was not available although it is part of the nightly rate. We should have been notified of this earlier to give us the option of choosing another location. The room was clean but very dated.
