This hotel is twinned with the Hotel Doña Manuela behind it. It was confusing when we arrived because reception to our hotel was locked. After a phone call we found out we had to enter around the corner.

I selected this hotel for proximity to the Alcazar. Location gets 5 stars. But it was downhill from there. I was assigned room 11. With three big bags I had to take the elevator up one flight, walk across to another building, go up and down steps to the furthest room. This room had small insects on floor that appeared as ants. It was so late in the evening I didn’t get a different room. This room was so small that I could only open my suitcase on the floor because of the ants, I had everything zipped up tight. This room was right above restaurant. It stayed very noisy with loud street performers as well as restaurant patron conversations. Finally quiet by 1:30AM. But at 6:45AM, the sanitation trucks can be heard and the loud noise that glass bottles make when they are hauled away was particularly jarring. With my lack of sleep, the next morning I simply wanted to bring some coffee from the lobby up to the room so that I can have caffeine and be awake enough to pack my bags and leave. I was told I was not permitted to take coffee in my water bottle to bring upstairs. I will never use this hotel again. I usually only write five star reviews, but I felt compelled to write this one to warn others.

Room was NOT as pictured. It appeared fresh and clean in photos but was actually old and dingy in person. Don’t be fooled. If I knew what the room really looked like I would NEVER have booked it.
