I have stayed there once before. I know they did not serve food after 6pm on a Sunday evening. When I completed on line booking I asked for some sandwiches to be available as I would arrive around 6.30pm on the Sunday. I arrived went to charge my car. EV charge points not working but no note on them. Other people trying to charge. I booked in and asked about my sandwiches. NO kitchen was closed and nothing put aside. There were two parties in one having a buffet for about 50 people and one sit down dinner. Would have been happy with any food as clearly they had food. No not possible. Quite disappointing as a little effort on their part all would have been fine

The breakfast was pleasant - help yourself style buffet. I did find some out of date yogurts by 1 month and they were super apologetic. The room (19) was very disappointing. Our view was a roof littered with rubbish, the room was very small and cramped. It was relatively clean for how old it is (notable stain on the chair). We attended a function and the food was good, drinks were fine with a fair choice and service was pleasant from all staff. The grounds are well maintained, beautiful and the star of the show. Plenty of amble parking with good size spaces. I don’t think we would have stayed here if it wasn’t for the function, and if it was to happen again - we would find elsewhere to stay as the value to what we got was disappointing.
