I loved the fact that it was a castle! Beautiful grounds and very very very stunning view of the Elbe River. But there were too many spiders 🕷️. I realize it’s a castle but spraying needs to be done or if nothing else a look at the room beforehand would have notified the staff that there were 4 spiders in our room. And they were alive!

Beautiful property and room (we were in the main building) with A/C. Dinner at the restaurant was also excellent. Great experience! Parking is limited - there are a few spots along the drive up to the hotel; otherwise, I was told there was a bigger spot but it was a bit of a walk. The room key is attached to a HEAVY weight, which is hard to carry in your pocket. I was told you could leave it at the desk daily. Another note, the elevator is down 3 steps so that could be a problem for some. Overall, we loved this castle-like hotel overlooking the river with beautiful sunsets!

You have to make sure to book a room in the main castle or otherwise the rooms will be in annex, need to walk outside for breakfast and reception. And the annex rooms are nothing special, actually a little lower quality than a business hotel. Breakfast is excellent
