Underground car park was a welcome bonus. Use sat nav to find it though. not the hotels fault that there is a long one way system in kendal. put it in sat nav before you leave the motorway to get the best route. Debs on reception was great. bar food was excellent (evening meal and breakfast). I was on a business trip but will definitely go back with the better half when visiting Kendal.

The hotel is in a lovely location and many of the rooms have a view of the river, which was lovely. However, reception advised us not to open windows as flies come in, which was a shame. However, luckily there was a fan in the room as it was quite warm. The hotel was spotlessly clean but you can tell its an old building. They had quite an old TV in the room and not many Freeview channels but everything else was great, especially having a car park on site. We didn't eat or go to the bar so can't comment on those but would stay here again.
