Check in is at 3pm. If you want to check in earlier it is $25 per hour. The “pool” with the slide outside is crazy small. However there is a large indoor pool. Breakfast was average. Room was very large and clean. Front desk staff was very friendly.

In one of the nicest places i've ever stayed in in this area. The rooms are huge, extremely clean and well stocked with everything. Some of the nicest staff i've ever come across very, very helpful. I would recommend this to families. Couples. It was me and my two sisters traveling just amazing property

We have been coming to the GSM area for over 20 years, but have never managed to find our "go to" place to stay. That has changed after our stay at The Walden. This hotel is perfect. Great location, friendly staff, excellent free breakfast, beautiful public areas, clean and comfortable rooms. Our room was spotlessly clean, passed the barefoot test. Nice quality body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and lotion in refillable bottles. Plenty of plush towels. Mattress and pillows are the most comfortable we've ever had in a hotel. Location was quieter than those directly on the parkway, though we did hear music and motorcyles from the Harley store and bar. I can see where this would not be ideal during bike week. Two things to be aware of if it's an issue for you: there is a slight step down into the tub, might be difficult for those with mobility issues. Plus, the toilet area is separated from the rest of the bathroom, and the space is a little tight. The lobby has 24 hour coffee and lemonade. Breakfast was very well stocked and fresh and included waffles, bread, bagels, cream cheese, yogurt, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, roasted potatoes, muffins and whole fruits. The pool was wonderful and very warm. Very nice, clean area inside and outside, with a fire pit and large picnic area. I highly recommend this hotel.
