Lovely room, great view of the beach. Very clean and tidy, just what we needed for a weekend away for the Torbay half marathon. Recommend.

Overall I had a great four night stay. The restaurant/bar/lounge are lovely period rooms with great sea views. All the staff were very helpful (and mainly English). In the bedroom it was good that the windows could be opened (unlike in a lot of modern hotels). I'm very sensitive to noise but it was nice and quiet. A lot of the other hotels are on busy roads. The gym was average - fairly old equipment and didn't seem that clean. But a good sized room. However there were no exercise mats so had to lie on the carpet. Finally, minor complaint about breakfast but the vegetarian sausages were not good (they were basically tasteless deep fried vegetables) - most hotels serve quorn or soya sausages (which taste better and have some protein)

We have a lovey beach view room it had everything we needed, breakfast was lovely freshly made, the table with yogurts fruit and cereal was always well stocked up, staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an email few days before saying there was a function on the night we got there but didn't hear a thing from them. Hotel was only a short walk from shops pubs etc. We would definitely stay again.
