The hotel itself was very nice, especially the first floor, and the customer service was excellent. I especially want to recognize Roderick, who was friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. Unfortunately, there were some major issues that made our stay disappointing. We stayed from Friday through Monday, and our room was not cleaned once during the entire stay. I understand that hotels may have different housekeeping schedules now, but going an entire multi-day stay without the room being cleaned or refreshed at all was very disappointing and, quite frankly, unacceptable to me. Another issue was the temperature. The first floor was comfortable, but the second, third, and fourth floors were extremely hot—almost like a sauna. We stayed on the second floor, and when we first entered our room, it was 78 degrees because the air conditioning had not been turned on. It took about an hour and a half before the room cooled down enough to be comfortable. It’s unfortunate because the hotel has a lot of positives, and the people working there were wonderful. However, basic things like a comfortable temperature and housekeeping during a multi-night stay really matter. I hope management addresses these issues because the staff, especially Roderick, deserves to be recognized for providing great customer service, but the housekeeping and temperature issues definitely need improvement.
