Upgraded from a comfort room that had outdated furniture, a headboard and divan that looked like it had seen better days, with a door that had been punched. The carpets were worn out, runners at reception thread bare and stained carpets. The upgraded room had more space and more maintenance issues, broken toilet seat, broken toilet roll holder, the blind not working properly, shower curtain had black mould and the bathroom floor Lino was flaking and we couldn’t reach the extractor fan so it all steamed up. The shower went up and down but didn’t move towards your body. Towels were nice with complimentary shower gel & shampoo, breakfast was hot bacon and a nice choice of croissants, toast and cereal but no decaf tea or coffee or brown bread so need to update dietary options. Outside was newly landscaped and parking was secure with lighting. The main issue was the tv from the next room is on the same wall as the bed so we couldn’t sleep until 2am when the night manager eventually asked for the noise to be turned down. This is a budget hotel and little things like facilities working would have made this stay more comfortable.

For the price you pay don’t expect the Ritz. It was very basic and did the job as just an overnight stay.property was clean. No staff around in morning to top up coffee pots, replenish drinking juice, plates and cups where all mismatched not all matching. Bit of TLC in the right places and would have gave it 5 stars for the price.

Friendly helpful staff and convenient car park. The room was poorly maintained and exceptionally hot. External noise was atrocious with other hotel residents sitting on the benches outside the entrance, drinking, shouting, singing and swearing until early hours. There was also floodlights pointing up into the bedroom windows leaving the room in near daylight even with the thin roller blind drawn. Yes it’s cheap but a very poor nights sleep caused by factors well within the hotels control.
