Extremely disappointing stay, especially as this trip was meant to be a special break away for my partner’s birthday. There was no hot water, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel stay. The corridors also had a very strong smell of cannabis, and the smell was coming through our door into the room. It genuinely seemed as though someone was smoking inside the building because it was so strong. We reported this to a member of staff, but instead of properly dealing with the issue, they appeared to try to cover the smell with Febreze. Unfortunately, this did very little and made the whole situation feel even more poorly handled. Breakfast was another major disappointment. The full English breakfast was not ready during the actual breakfast time, and only around half of the breakfast items were available when we went down. For something that should have been a basic part of the stay, it was very poorly organised. The hotel itself was also extremely basic. There was no bar and very little to do, so there was nothing that made the stay feel enjoyable or special. It felt more like somewhere to simply sleep than somewhere you would choose for a birthday break. I booked this stay to celebrate my partner’s birthday and expected it to be relaxing and enjoyable. Instead, it ended up being stressful, upsetting and extremely disappointing. Based on the issues we experienced throughout our stay, I do not feel we received the standard of accommodation or service that we paid for.

It’s a very rundown hotel, not maintained well or clean. The receptionist on Sunday morning was very helpful. The breakfast is very limited, no fresh food (milk, pastries or fruit). Everything was processed and long life. I don’t recommend

I had a single room It was meant to have a twin bed. But just one single bed. Awful mattres. The room had cobwebs everywhere. And silver tail bugs in the bathroom. Duvet cover ripped. The fridge in the room was so loud I ended up turning everything off by the mains box. Honestly the worst place ive stayed in. Id travelled all day from Inverness. After being in hospital. Just wanted a nice night sleep. I think I finally slept around 1 am. Guy at reception quite rude. Refused a room change. Don't be fooled by the pictures. Its nothing like it inside. Mould in bathroom etc and plug was too small for bath. Don't waste your money
