The staff were all attentive and friendly. The room and bathroom were clean. The lobby and hallways were welcoming. Brandon at the front desk and the breakfast attendant were specially helpful. The only issue for me were that the pillows and the bed were hard. Then again, that’s a matter of individual comfort. Some people like hard beds and pillows.

We stayed here for a quick overnight trip to see hummingbirds at Ash Canyon Bird Sanctuary during migration season, and it was great! I’d definitely come for a longer stay. The staff was outstanding, the property was well-kept, and the rooms with kitchenettes (including a full-side fridge and 2-burner stove) were comfortable and convenient. We didn’t use the pool and fitness room, but they looked clean and inviting. Breakfast was simple and satisfying—waffle maker, bagels & cream cheese, yogurt, cereal, etc, They make fresh coffee every 4 hours, which is good if you want to be up extra early. They also have a free happy hour (soft drinks, beer or wine and snacks), which is nice. Tip: Eat at the Angry German!

Hotel was close to Fort Huachuca entrance and within government per diem. It appreared to be an older but remodeled hotel with a very nice lobby and eating area with a helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The carpet was worn in one place due to the rolling desk chair. The room also had a coffee maker, stove top and a refrigerator freezer that I never used.
