I was swayed by the Marriott name and booked a standard room with two beds. The room turned out to be pretty much exactly what I expected. I should mention that check-in was quick and completely hassle-free. The breakfast, however, was rather monotonous and limited, although everything that was served was tasty. The biggest problem was the air conditioner. It is located under the window, about 20 cm from the bed. Sleeping next to it is like sleeping in a strong draft. On top of that, the AC was as noisy as an old tractor diesel engine, with an awful metallic rattling sound. And when it kicked back on during the night after a pause, it sounded as if someone had started a helicopter engine half a meter away from your head. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable, and the blankets felt completely synthetic. With the door closed, conversations in the hallway could be heard as clearly as if the people were sitting right on your bed. Overall, the hotel gave me the impression of a low-budget motel that wouldn't even deserve two stars. One night here was enough to leave me completely exhausted before a long journey. Very disappointing, especially considering the Marriott name and the expectations that come with it.
