We ended up staying at the brown Lodge across the street from the main motel. Their rooms were definitely dated, late 70s/early 80s decor. But the bedding and the pillows and mattresses were definitely fairly new. The bathroom shower and sinks seemed to work fine. The flatscreen TV on the wall was actually newer as well. And there were a decent amount of TV channels to choose from. There was also a musty smell to the room. Which our friends staying in the room next-door confirmed they also smelled. So the scores I would give: Mattress comfort three out of five Pillows were also a three out of five Room upkeep was a two out of five Cleanliness was also a two out of five.

There was an issue with the room immediately. We requested a room with a balcony, but was given a room without one at street level. The person at the desk was extremely unhelpful and did nothing to assist with a change. The housekeeping staff didn’t make the beds while we were out, and the property had clearly seen better days, as it appeared aged and run down. We will never, ever stay here again
