The mattress on the bed was too soft. We both had lower back pain in the morning. The breakfast was not very good.

I arrived late and there was only one front office clerk they were on the phone and I had to wait over 10 minutes to check in. I was then assigned two rooms that I had reserved. Both rooms had a very strong mildew smell. My room was so bad I could not stay in the room and I went down and asked for a different room. The second room was just as bad, but it was so late and I was so tired. I didn’t address it the next morning after breakfast I went up to my room and none of the keys worked. I went back down to the front desk and again I had to wait 10 minutes before I found a receptionist to help reheat my room. The sheets felt damp as well.

It’s a quaint little place. Certainly not bad but in need of upgrades and proper maintenance. Carpeting is old and some of the cosmetic repairs look like they were done by an amateur. The room was fine for the most part. It did have an odd musty aroma that went unnoticed after a few minutes. The door was desperate for some WD-40. My biggest issue was that I had no hot water. That sucked. But overall it wasn’t the worst place
