Yucky place. Staff was mediocre. When we walked into our room, we saw that the toilet had not been cleaned and there were “remains” from the previous guest. We have never experienced such a thing before in any hotel we’ve stayed. I alerted the manager and she came and cleaned it. I said that I hoped that the sheets had been changed, and she replied that that had been a problem last year but not anymore!! Was so glad to check out of the place! In the morning after we had left our room and put the key in the outside drop box, we realized that we had left something behind. The office was closed until 9 am however and even though the managers lived on site (a couple), they would not respond to our knocks on the door for assistance. There aren’t many places to stay in Brookings but definitely find a different place and if you can’t, we recommend staying in a different town.

Property was rather " hap- hazard "...but reasonably clean. Room was do- able, as was bathroom. Nothing notable,in neither service nor staff .....the latter being mostly absent.
