4th stay. In last couple of years. Just misses the mark a bit. Continual dirty tissues and mess in corridors by room. 2 towels in room for 3 people. You go to reception to ask for more. They give you some you then you carry all the way to the room. You have to book a slot to use the pool - the gym team adamant you can only do this once per day. Poor when full paying for two nights and they class themselves as 4 star. Sand on floor in bathroom in arrival to our ‘clean’ room. Both queenside beds by each morning had totally untucked bedding because the bed sheets don’t really fit. Check out and breakfast was charged for the day we arrived in the afternoon and then the Saturday when only 2 of us had breakfast. All a bit rubbish, and disappointing really for a ‘Celtic Manor’ brand.

A hotel punching above its star rating. Ideal for a single night, but if you look closely, you'll see the freyed edges. Corridor carpet worn and unkempt, bedroom furniture tired and air-con controls not working.

Staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. Room was to a good standard, with decent facilities (tea/coffee, desk etc, usual things). Not so pleased to have to pay for parking, but I understand that it is near some sort of conference centre, so I imagine it is due to that. Had to book a slot for the swimming pool in the morning, but when I got there I was the only one in there so that felt a bit pointless; also, when I got there, there was no one at the desk in the health centre to check me in, so I had to find a towel myself and make my own way in.
