I ended up not staying here, the hotel was pretty dirty and the staff, though they did try, were not great. The first room I was given had an extractor fan that didn't stop whirring, the staff member who tried to fix it, failed and then kind of stared blankly as if coming up with a solution was my job. I suggested moving rooms and he said he would sort it out. Half hour later, having heard nothing I went to the desk and was told they could move me rooms. The new room was bigger but still really worn down. Their were stains on the sofa and in the shower, god knows what was on the areas you couldn't readily see. When the second room was also in a poor state I decided to move to a Ramada instead as at least it would be "of a standard". I would not book here again.

Arrived on my own as husband was travelling separately. Place looked deserted on arrival and was literally in the middle of nowhere. Inside was very dark and dated and nothing like the pictures online. No other guests in sight. Shown to room which again looked nothing like the pictures online and smelt very musty. Stains on carpet. Key pad entry system and an old piece of paper with the code on so clearly not changed between guests meaning anyone could access the room if they'd stayed there before. Saw other guests arriving which were just single men. The place made me feel very uncomfortable so went into bar area to get a drink while I waited for hubby to arrive. Cash only bar and luckily I had some cash on me. I then chose to sit outside the entrance until my husband arrived as there were workmen working on the road and I felt safer. When husband arrived I told him not to bother getting bags out as we weren't staying for the 3 nights we'd booked. He agreed as soon as he saw the room. When he went to reception to tell the lady we were leaving she said they had nicer rooms and offered to move us which we rejected due to the overall feeling and presentation of the hotel. The place just felt wrong and the few other guests I eventually saw (single males) seemed very odd. Maybe I was overthinking but just got a really bad feeling about the place.
