Staff were excellent, the room was small as was the bed which was very uncomfortable. Water pressure was good but the access to the room was via steep stairs which were difficult to negotiate. Buffet breakfast on first morning was poor although we were not charged for it, the freshly cooked breakfast the following day was ok but not good value for its cost. On site parking was a bit cramped at times but space was always available. Walking to town was ok, about a 15 minute trek. Due to the state of the bed we left a day early, my back just couldn't take another night. Chester itself was a great place to visit, that said, if we did return we would choose a different location.
