We had the basic room which was very comfy although the bed was small which we knew before going. The in room facilities were excellent and the breakfast in the morning was superb. There was a nice small walk from the hotel to do with our dog and all the staff werre very welcoming.

What an amazing place to stay if you want to enjoy both the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye! The location is about a 30 minute drive from Skye and so much more affordable than accommodations on the actual isle. This is a lovely boutique hotel in an old hunting lodge right on Loch Duich. Our room was very comfortable and well stocked and the staff was all so friendly, especially Gavin. Breakfast came included with our room, both made to order meals and fruit, yogurt, granola, toast, coffee and juices. Our favorite thing about the Kintail Lodge was the restaurant. We had dinner both nights and loved everything we are, especially the Cullen skink (fish chowder), the fish and chips, and cranachan (a Scottish dessert with whipped cream, berries, and a dash of Scotch. There was a nice path past the loch that led to a sidewalk on the main road, so I took beautiful walks around the loch each morning. Can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel!
