This is an old hotel in a small Scottish town. Don't expect more than friendly service and central location with good parking. Our room was badly in need of redecorating and one sensed they were in the middle of doing our room. The bathroom was modern, but many construction-related items were heaped up against the wall across from our room entrance. The beds were ancient, like pudding, and the chairs uncomfortable in one of our two rooms booked, or non -existent in the second room. The hotel caters to the owner's bus tour groups who dine on semi-set meals in the dining room, whose menu changes each day. If your expectations aren't high, it is a quiet place for a night or two with few frills or excitements.

Hotel was great clean and staff were very helpful breakfast was good and we stayed for tea which was good 😊 I would stay again and I can't wait till next time the room was lovely and clean and bed were comfortable 😊 thank you for a loverly stay it will not be my last visit to you

At this price point, offering rooms like this is treating customers like fools. We knew we weren’t booking a luxury hotel, but there are some basic standards that should still be met. A 120 cm (4 ft) bed advertised as a “very large bed”, a baby cot provided without a mattress, faulty bedroom lighting, and a bathroom tap that leaked constantly… It’s simply unacceptable. None of this reflects the price being charged. It really feels like the hotel is counting on the fact that guests will never come back anyway. Without a doubt, one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Save your money and stay somewhere else if you don’t want to pay a premium for a room that doesn’t even meet the most basic standards.
