Excellent location just off main road in from A20 autobahn from Lubeck to Rostock. Close to main railway station to take Molli narrow guage train to the beaches some 8kms away. Very high quality hotel with good comfy beds, fully fitted bathroom and high quality leather chair/sofa. Heated towel rail in bathroom and radiator in room worked when chilly evening. Extensive high quality breakfast. Owner actively involved in greeting guests etc. 5 parking spaces in front and plenty of free street parking. Thoroughly recommended and convenient for beaches but away from the bustle

Hotel Villa Sommer's 3 star rating does it an injustice. The villa has been renovated to a very high standard indeed, with excellent fixtures and fittings, and spacious rooms. We requested a room overlooking the railway, which was our main reason for visiting, and were delighted to find that not only did we have a large sunny terrace looking directly over the steam (and mainline) railway, but we had been upgraded to a superb suite with extras such as a lounge, tiny kitchen area, kettle, etc. There are no communal lounges or areas at present, other than the newly renovated breakfast room, but staying at this hotel is akin to staying in someone's private residence, with just 12 rooms and minimal fuss with regards to checking in and so on.It's utterly relaxing, and the people running it are charming and welcoming.

This is a delightful hotel, a beautifully restored and furnished building in a peaceful location opposite the station and ideal for anyone visiting the town to ride the unique 'Mollibahn' (ask for room 9 for a view of the trains!). The hotel does not have a restaurant (aside for a breakfast room) but there are several places to eat in town, five minutes walk away and a cafe area is I think on the way. Free parking. It's not a 24 hour hotel, so for some business travellers it may not have everything required, but this is a tourist area after all so not a real issue - certainly not for us. Staff (the owning family) were very friendly and helpful. Only possible thing that we could have used was facility to make tea/coffee in the room which is always nice when you arrive.
